At Laing Homes we build all of our new homes at our site in Sockburn. The construction process follows a predetermined and well-rehearsed methodology. A pile system, which is set out for each model, enables us to build a house quickly and efficiently. Materials are assembled from a well-defined inventory and brought to site in large consignments. This reduces the inefficiencies associated with one off on-site builds, which often involve multiple trips to a building merchant. Our proprietary MaximPanel construction system means that we can have the floor walls and ceiling of the building constructed within 2 days.
This approach delivers;
- Labour efficiencies - Builders know exactly what they are building
- Very little waste - The home is built to a very defined inventory of materials
- Reuse - Any surplus material from one house can be stored on site and used on the next home.
- Subcontractor coordination - Many building jobs suffer from poorly coordinated subcontractors resulting in delays, rework and congestion on site. Our team of subcontractors have worked with us for a number of years and we have developed an efficient system which means that subcontractors arrive on site at the correct time in the process and complete their job quickly and efficiently
